The one thing we continually heard when Trump first jumped on that campaign stage was about how he was going to build a wall across the Mexican border and stopping all Muslims entering the country. After that we were subjected to many headlines about how Trump flirted with white supremacy.
Most Brits know little to nothing about Trump other than his immigration policies. Most people don't need to know more because Trump isn't a British politician which makes him somewhat irrelevant to us. Some however, started to take a keener interest and they can deny it all they want but they took a keen interest because when he came out of that political birth canal, he was all about dealing with those dirty immigrants. Trump excites a minority noninclusive audience over here, it was inevitable; in fact, when those blonde Katy Hopkins style locks first started showing up on our news channels, I could of taken bets on the types who would support him and types who wouldn't.

Oh I agree, there's not much substance behind the hyped tabloidesque soundbites, reminiscent of UKIP I'd say.
