I actually I had a chat with the director when he was doing promo for Horns (that Daniel Radcliffe movie). I was obsessed with Haute Tension so I basically talked about that. All I remember was him going on about how sweet the guy who played the killer was. I truly believe it.

The thing is with Wolf Creek that I liked is that your opinion changes throughout the movie on who you thought would survive.

No word yet but John Jarratt is back as Mick and apparently it revolves around Eve, an American tourist whos abducted by Mick. She survives his attack and wants revenge.

I think so, the original is pretty gritty looking it's one of those sorts of movie that you feel a bit dirty after watching it.
The remake is really good too

Watch it. It's really good. I agree with Amy that it's quite gritty looking and it is creepy in some parts. One of my favourites. The original that is.

Daniel if you're thinking about watching a TCM film, i'd watch the original. It has one of the creepiest atmosphere's of any film i've watched and it was way ahead of its time too

Oh yes, love his films. I remember I had to take my father with me to see Hills when it came out, it was a bit too much for him lol. Piranha was great fun too. He's a very nice guy.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre is one of the most haunting movies i've ever seen.. even more so considering its inspired by a true story

It's got that rough, gritty, and dark atmosphere to it which makes the film imo. If it wasn't like that it wouldn't be as eerie.

I don't really find any horror movies scary apart from the Child's Play series, something about Chucky seriously unsettles me and has done from a young age. I know the film is kind of meant to be rather funny but something about it really gets under my skin.
