Wolf Creek 2 is one of the most ****ed up movies i've seen. The first one really felt like a horror movie whereas the 2nd left me wanting to be sick half the time.. still, it was a good movie lol

I'll say Jeepers Creepers is pretty scary, especially the first 40 minutes
Wolf Creek is really creepy. I saw it around Halloween time and it's one of those movies that sticks with you for a while after watching and it had some uncomfortable scenes too.
Spoiler:

I really wanted Kristy to make it and I thought she was so close but then he found her in the morning.

Cassandra's death was soo sad.

I actually I had a chat with the director when he was doing promo for Horns (that Daniel Radcliffe movie). I was obsessed with Haute Tension so I basically talked about that. All I remember was him going on about how sweet the guy who played the killer was. I truly believe it.

Oh I forgot about Wolf Creek
Spoiler:

The part where the old man gets shot in the head by the sniper is so gutting because the girl is so close to getting away. Also, I was pleasantly surprised that the guy (the good one) was the only survivor as it's usually always the woman, so I was kind of expecting him to get killed off at some point

The thing is with Wolf Creek that I liked is that your opinion changes throughout the movie on who you thought would survive.

Spoiler:

At one point I though it would be Cassandra at first as she just seemed to fit the role of the female survivor in horror movies (quiet, shy, etc). But then she was the first one to die and then Kristy was so close to making it and getting away from Mick but then he killed her. And we all thought the guy was dead until the end but he got away lol.

I love Alexandre Aja, he's my favourite modern horror director - imo his remakes of The Hills Have Eyes and Piranha were better than the originals

The Hills Have Eyes remake is very good also. Not that keen on the second one though

No word yet but John Jarratt is back as Mick and apparently it revolves around Eve, an American tourist whos abducted by Mick. She survives his attack and wants revenge.

I think so, the original is pretty gritty looking it's one of those sorts of movie that you feel a bit dirty after watching it.

The remake is really good too

And she tried to get out of the car after it crashed and Mick drove to where the crashed car was and she was crawling on the floor trying to get away and he shot her in the back and then in the head.

I **** myself when Erin was in the house and he burst through the doors and when he attacked Erin and Pepper in the van. I also think the 'found footage' is really powerful, always leaves me feeling unnerved.

Watch it. It's really good. I agree with Amy that it's quite gritty looking and it is creepy in some parts. One of my favourites. The original that is.

Daniel if you're thinking about watching a TCM film, i'd watch the original. It has one of the creepiest atmosphere's of any film i've watched and it was way ahead of its time too

Oh yes, love his films. I remember I had to take my father with me to see Hills when it came out, it was a bit too much for him lol. Piranha was great fun too. He's a very nice guy.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre is one of the most haunting movies i've ever seen.. even more so considering its inspired by a true story

It's got that rough, gritty, and dark atmosphere to it which makes the film imo. If it wasn't like that it wouldn't be as eerie.

I don't really find any horror movies scary apart from the Child's Play series, something about Chucky seriously unsettles me and has done from a young age. I know the film is kind of meant to be rather funny but something about it really gets under my skin.
