This country has a strange relationship with Eurovision where we treat it is a joke, send a very average act and then act surprised when we don't do very well. Just had a random thought - it would never happen but I wonder how different it would be if ITV took over the selection/broadcasting in the UK. Like the BBC, they're a member of the EBU (along with Channel 4, S4C in Wales and STV in Scotland). Again, it would never happen, but I wonder how ITV would treat the competition.
