Not being funny but that is what majority of the entries are. I am surprised the uk did bad this year, easily one of the better and original entries.

Not only that but due to Russia being Soviet Union with lots of today´s countries being part of it at one time in the past and then collapsing, they have a multitude of bordering countries who vote for them just because they share them same border with them.

Ie Russia has lots of neighbour countries + slavian countries that usually vote for them regardless (because of shared history and similar culture) of whatever the song is or whatever the performance is.

Even if Russia sent a person to do fart noises for 3+ minutes, they would almost certainly be guaranteed at least a top 10 spot.

Everyone goes on about how it's political - sometimes it is yes, but ALOT of the singer in the ESC are very well known and established in alot of European countries, they're not plucked from obscurity like some of ours, so countries are bound to vote for them (Bonnie and Engelbert excluded).

OR do what Jade Ewen and Andrew LW did, campaign and promote like mad around Europe in the months before, we came 5th then.

Well the soing was pretty bland but should have been perhaps half way. The song that won was not the best, but people hate Russia. You need a great song to kill the politics. Lst year and Conchita did it. This year politics won.

But our song was bang average

Wining it is out the window in my view, as we would never get really current big stars to enter for the UK like the days of Sandie Shaw,Lulu and Cliff Richard naming just 3.

Also,ours was okay and I liked it,I hoped it would do well but it was better when it went to the up tempo parts.

The Jury voting showed we can pull in votes across the board again,Russia and Estonia gave us votes,Malta gave us 12, we got votes from 11 of the juries this time.
The song has to register though with those watching and clearly it didn't last night.

It's nothing to do with the songs ,it's political imo, our entry was quite catchy and equally as good as the rest of those songs and singers in there, I don't know why we embarrass ourselves every year,having said that we might just get a shock result one year.Good old Britain is only good enough to live in.

Not sure we can win again but one of our problems also seem to have been opening it up to the public voting too.

After all, Joe and Jack were in a fair placing just from the jury voting.

One day we may just get a breakthrough,after all after Bucks Fizz win in 1981,we had to wait 16 years again before Katrina won it in 1997.

We have always had a problem in gathering in enough votes and looking at the breakdown of how the voting went from Italy, France, Germany, Spain,Belgium,Israel,Sweden,Norway and particularly the former Yugoslav countries too,there was nothing there at all from any of them.

Do you think it would ever be possible for betting to be scrapped? I don't really know how it pros to be completely honest, but there's always an unfair hype around those who are the favourites. We need Scotland, NI and Wales to become independent states, then do deals along with Malta and other countries that don't mind us to give each other 12 points on a rota basis so we win every few years, I remember when Ireland won back to back victories and everyone was moaning about the cost of hosting it

We aren't a popular country in the EU and we don't share any borders with anyone. The winner will always be either politically motivated or it'll be simply a good song from a neutral country. We've got an unfavourable position with EU to deal with as well as resentment for automatically making the finals.

Can't blame anyone for not wanting to spend money on making an effort given that the last time we went all out we barely scraped fifth. You can't blame established acts for not wanting to do it since no one with a career wants to be a joke.
