Again, no laws completely stop crime but they curb them. If we go by your incredibly flawed logic then there's no point in any laws because they aren't 100% effective.

Yes, America doesn't need stricter gun control because it won't stop the occasional Islamic terrorist attack, who cares if it will help prevent domestic terrorist attacks that are carried out using legal fire arms??
