I never wanted this referendum in the first place because I knew this would be the result. The politics of fear always wins (see: last year's general election) and on the subject of Trump I also wouldn't rule a presidential victory out now either.

All I can do is laugh. I will laugh at those who voted for this who find that in the near future they're being forced to work longer, for less and with less rights like holiday pay when the Tories come for a trashing of them. I will laugh when their bills for things that were capped under EU law skyrocket. I will laugh if and when it transpires that you need a ****ing visa to visit France. Only then will people realise the mistake they've made.

That said, I am delighted at how engaged so many people were in democracy and politics, it is great to see. Congrats to the Leave side, but your insults about sour grapes and being 'bitter' are completely pointless. Of course I'm ****ing bitter. This is MY future you've just ****ed, and I will bloody well tell you about it

Hope the Scots get another opportunity to get the **** away from Little Englanders and rightly take it this time

Sorry Young Jack

And (can't speak for everyone obviously) but we do respect our elders, we just wish they would respect us and be like "hmm those young people want to remain, the people who will be growing up in this country and getting jobs and living an adult life maybe I should just support them" seeing as either way it wouldn't effect elder people too much as they are probably not working, less likely to buy another house etc
Ok, until you are one of these older people you will never understand that in general we put our kids first from the day they are born until the day we die.
As an older person this vote won't make a massive difference to me, however it will to our kids as they grow up.
All this the older people have their houses and jobs and pensions is a very big generalisation. I don't work, husband does his last 4 shifts next week before he goes on the scrap heap, too young yet for the pension, yet too old for most people to consider him for a decent job, but we just get on with it.
As you get older you see the bigger picture and you take the next generation into consideration.

You clearly have absolutly no idea what you're talking about so stop trying to be the Katie Hopkins of the forum.

Err... Denmark, Sweden and Finland are all EU members. I'll assume you're talking about Norway. If so - you're talking about a small nation with less than 8% of the UK's population size.

That aside, the Norwegian PM himself confirmed that the reason Norway fits in as an idependent nation is that, whilst they get to keep more control over their day-to-day affairs, they simply piggyback on European law unofficially and bring pretty much everything that is decided in Brussels into Norwegian law. They don't "have to", but they do, and that's why it works.

Can you see the UK being up for that? Simply voting in every European law anyway, but without anyone at the table when those laws are being decided in the first place?

Me, as one who couldn't have any influence, looking at the outcome of this referendum.

I don't know how I feel about it though. It's not like GB will crash and burn, just a bit of a chaos for a while. Add to this the time when Trump will be elected, then it will be when this happens:

Hopefully if Scotland get to have another referendum to leave the UK the rest of us get the chance to decide if we want to keep them or not.

No some of Scotland believe(d) that we were an independent nation capable of making a good place for ourselves within the wider, looser constructs of the EU and away from direct Westminster rule.

It appears to in fact be the UK as a whole that believes it is so strong / rich that it can stand entirely alone, hence leaving the larger union, to become a solo nation like Denmark and Swe... oh no wait you were wrong about those too.

Nope. The smaller a country is, the more ability it has to micro-manage its economy and the welfare of each individual citizen and therefore, the less rocked it will be by global economic tides. Being a "Bigger country" is a drawback, not a benefit.

The fack was Trump mumbling on about in his live press. He sounded high that's why he's wearing a hat.
