It wasn't a lie was it? it was Jayne who brought it up,but Charlie didn't tell her not to talk about it she was talking about it,so he wasn't lying.

Wait so one minute Charlie shouldn't talk about Jason at all the next she should police what others say about him?

Jayne stated he had a daughter and her age, Charlie didn't even make a remark about the daughter other than to confirm what Jason had told Jayne...Andy never relayed that, he lied that Charlie was talking about her, brazenly indicating the discussion was negative.
