That was her retaliation yes, saying that the man who was standing over her and shouting abuse in her face, whilst being physically restrained by other HMs not once but for the THIRD time that week, saying he LOOKED like a murderer/rapist was pretty mild considering the levels of physical and verbal abuse HE was throwing at her at the time and for all that week. He was intimidating beyond belief. She had every right to retaliate verbally at such an onslaught.

Are you saying Brian's behaviour was acceptable then? Did you think it was ok when Helen stood over Matthew and hurled abuse at him, just like Brian did to Helen?

Or is it one rule for Helen, one rule for anyone else?

Then she got the same treatment by Brian/Aisleyne the following year and everyone turned a blind eye and even cheered on the Helen-bashing. It was disgusting to watch. Hypocrisy beyond words. There's loads of very real discussion to be had about that.

Everyone talks shizzle about everyone, that's BB, she said no worse than anyone said about anyone else in that house. People said far worse about her than she said about anyone else, esp that year.

She said Brian LOOKED like a murderer/rapist while he stood over her screaming abuse in her face while he was being physically restrained for the third time that week. She had every right to defend herself verbally against his unacceptable intense verbal/physical aggressive outbursts.

What should she have done? Sat there and took it? Burst into tears? I liek the fact she stood up for herself. That's how you deal with bullying.

I liked it when Matthew stood up to Helen. I liked it when Helen stood up to Brian. But then again, i'm no hypocrite, i can be objective. I judge behaviour, not people. I don't change my judgment according to whether or not i like the person involved. Unlike many who have one rule for Helen's aggression and one rule for others.

Helen walked into the bunker and one of the first things she literally said was that Jack was a 'fat ****' (the word is censored but it begins with a 'c' if people don't remember). She also made it pretty obvious that she had a clear intention to make Harry Amelia as miserable as possible (Nikki and Marc were just as much to blame, but Brian made it quite apparent that he felt sorry for her).

The reason Brian reacted so badly towards Helen was because he saw how badly she treated people. You're right in the sense that two wrongs don't make a right, but that house is tough environment. I'm surprised the majority of people were able to cope in Helen's presence. Bullies needs standing up to in some situations. It's funny that people defend the way Helen was 'treat' by certain housemates last year when she said that she thrived of it too.
