That's the risk some are willing to take to push for their version of change. We don't really know what he would do as president. He has no political record. His business record he could easily clear up by releasing a few years worth of tax returns, which he refuses to do.

All we have left to judge is his record on being a human being/reality star... and his words... words that aren't worth very much these days since it's plain and clear to anyone that he lies on a dime. That's the only evidence we have to decide if a man should be the president of the United States and subsequently take an influential power role in the world. It's not a strong showing imo, but for some people it's enough

Some people are mentioning it's a cheap shot to go after his character. I beg to digger. Hillary has been through the wringer time and time again and even then, it's still happening. Trump is not exempt.

..there should never be any private in a conversation finding amusement in sexual assault with someone who is striving to be a world leader...it's of public interest because votes are made on character and integrity of a person as well as other reasons...with the starring role he's hoping to get, there comes responsibility of power but he talks about power/influence in a way that he abuses it, not a way that he lives up to it...his responsibility would be to respect all of his US citizens equally regardless of their gender...


..I was thinking yesterday of how we all have or have had people in our lives/males specifically...granddads/dads/uncles etc who would describe themselves as 'old fashioned' and a big part of that is respect in how they speak to or speak about females...because back in the day you know, that was us....no one of any character ever said the words that he did../would ever have found such the topic of amusement...at the very least and the very best, he's an extremely weak person in feeling he needed to 'impress the ladz' by laughing about sexual assault.../worrying either way tbh...and disrespectful to all genders if he feels that he's representative with his views of some sort of acceptable locker room banter...

...could you imagine if there was a taped conversation in a school staffroom or something and teachers saying..oh, I just slap those children or whatever...the outrage and how worrying that would be../how rightfully worried parents would be who had their children at that school and also of general public concern as well if in thinking that may be representative of schools and their teaching staff/the carers of their children...and yet Trump is looking to be representative of the whole of the USA...of course, the man he is, is of huge importance...

I was thinking the same thing about my grandad when I was reading some comments the other day. He's in his 80's and he worships the ground my grandma walks on, he talks about her and treats her like she's the most wonderful person in the world and it's something that's always stuck with me and makes me smile when I think about them. It would be unimaginable that he'd ever think or say those kinds of things and he'd be repulsed by Trump's attitude. Honestly it annoys me when Trump's age is used as a defense for him. Things haven't always been great for women politically/socially etc and I think that's the reason age is a go-to excuse for stuff, and I think it's easy to disassociate yourself with a time period if you haven't lived it, but like you suggest, respect, love, decency, they aren't knew concepts that we've just invented, they're pretty basic human traits.

Yeah again I completely agree, I can't fathom the attitude of "he didn't mean for it to be public so just ignore it" at all.

Imagine a criminal defense in court "Well your honour, he burgled the house late at night, dressed in black, even wore a balaclava. He obviously didn't want to be seen so it's unfair to judge him, this is a private matter between him and his victim."
