I agree. L4E - this is your eighth Trump thread in less than a month, it is becoming overkill

I'm tempted to merge them all into just one Donald Trump thread seeing as they're all just rehashing the same discussion, we don't need a new thread for every new youtube video

Why is your problem only with Donald Trump threads?

There's far more Xfactor threads being made, so why not go into them and tell those people making those threads that you will merge into one Xfactor thread?

Because they are on different topics and we have a designated X Factor forum. The Trump threads are all essentially part of the same discussion and, as much as it may have felt like it recently, we do not have a designated Donald Trump section on here

But the US presidential election is the biggest story in the World right now, so you shouldn't just start picking people out for discussing it and basically telling them to stop posting.

...again, UK General Elections being the most important thing happening to the UK while they're happening and also the EU Referendum but for the most part, it's much easier to have it all in one place because then we know where to look for stuff relating and only have one thread to read...

I haven't told anyone to start posting, I only commented on the fact that there have now been several threads with clickbaity titles like: 'The speech that will make you vote for Trump', 'This is why Trump WILL win' and 'Trump's most epic speech ever - must watch', and its started to become a bit spammy

I was just thinking out loud and making a suggestion really, splitting the same topic over numerous threads tends to actually result in a worse discussion imo

..I have to say that I have found it unnecessary to have so many as well when most could be merged...(unless it's a particular huge related news story..)..because I think the thing is Alf, to more compare them to Hilary threads and there aren't lots of those...if there were, that would be a good point...?...but even with our own General Election and EU referendum, it was mainly all merged into one thread...I actually think personally but that's just me obviously that one 'US Presidential Election' thread would be fine for all Trump and Hilary and also make it easier for anyone who wanted to find a specific post/vid that they might want to go back and comment on...

That's true I've been completely lost at times with which Trump thread is about what, they all seem to have the same discussions in them anyway
