On a side note, I have to say while we were in the States just recently i met so many black women and I didn't come across any kind of negative attitude, they were all so lovely and friendly and helpful, infact two lovely black women adopted us one night in New Orleans and brought us around to all their favourite bars and plied us with Tequila

Yes, of course for every asshole there is a lovely person. There are wonderful black men out there, those aren't the ones that annoy me.

Ugh that racist comment. Not surprised. A lot of people now aren't afraid to voice their opinions anymore and that's a good and bad thing because we get to know who those that discriminate are.

It's a crazy place but a definite "must visit" part of the world

Yeah the Trump effect, isn't it?, I suppose knowing who those people are now is good in a way but the problem is that in this new era we have those opinions seem to have been validated which is scary and big steps backwards
