I really hope it does well, I'm as disappointed as anybody but it's about time they put some effort into the winner's single and so for it to not only be an original composition but a Christmas song to boot is great

If it's successful then they may keep it up going forward

I didn't follow X factor this year, I just watched the Saturday show, i preferred the Finnish girls but Matt also has a great voice

Being #1 on iTunes generally doesn't mean a lot unless you're selling about 100k copies of it. Streams matter too much now. I think he'll probably be top five though.

He needs loads of digital sales to be #1 streaming has a big impact on charts these days and rockabye is still doing well streaming and Mariah Carey (she wouldn't be top 10 last week without it) so he won't chart higher than them.

Which reminds me, Honey G's single is coming out on 23rd Dec. Wonder how it's gonna do on the charts.
