Cold water. Even if I'm brushing them in the shower I still reach for the cold tap.

Hot water is generally less clean, that's why you never use it as drinking water from the tap, so I wouldn't use it for brushing.

Cold water. When the toothpaste is warm and the bristles are soft it makes me feel sick, which is weird because I usually like warm and thick liquid in my mouth
