This isn’t about making peace with Russia. Russia have been persistently testing the weak Obama administration for one reason only…. Russia is not Americas friend and never will be.

The only reason Putin didn’t retaliate is because America has direct evidence that Russian hackers effected the election in Trumps favour! Putin hasn’t even denied Russia committed espionage because he knows he can be proven guilty... nothing goes on in Russia without it being run past Putin. He’s salivating at the thought of wrapping the U.S idiot president around his little finger.

I don't think anyone considers Russia America's friend but as long as everyone is aware of that and that thought is at the back of their minds (particularly Trump of course) when engaging with him it is not necessarily a bad thing. He is making an effort - the intention and results will become obvious with time.

I think is is early days and we all need to watch and wait to see what people do next. Maybe there is s bit more going on in Trumps head than many give him credit for, who knows, maybe he is even lulling Putin into a false sense of security in order to encourage him to show his true colours, but we have to give him a chance. He isn't even official yet.
