I know what you mean. My mum went to hospital with a nasty sore on her leg that wouldn't heal. She ended up having a heart attack two weeks later, and died.

I regret her going to hospital and wonder how different things would have been if she had been treated at home.

That was three years ago. I don't get sad now. Indeed I often laugh at the funny things she'd say.

Even in death a loved one can bring much comfort.
