The women who'll be most affected by this are women living in poor areas (outside America) who without the current abortion services available to them are at greater risk of unsafe abortions and maternal death. The organisations that the law targets won't even be allowed to discuss abortion or provide any kind of education to them so how is it in any way going to make them more 'responsible'?

Fair question.

I'd say the deterrent of having to pay for yourself, would make you act more responsible. There are one or two forms of contraception.

I do think abortion should be funded but only before the point where the cells become a person i.e have limbs, can think and move around etc. Also there definitely has to be a limit on the number allowed.I know of someone who had five before they decided to keep one. Some women use them as contraception.Disgusting.

I agree the time limit should be low unless for medical reasons

I suppose they have to be responsible for rape as well? Or ill health brought on by problematic pregnancies? And it's been proven that no form of contraception is 100% guaranteed, hasn't it?

I don't think this is actually to do with abortions themselves though, unless I'm mistaken isn't the law just to do with abortion advisory services? Yes there's contraception but I think this law is going to impact women in areas of the world where contraception and education surrounding contraception isn't so readily available, and unwanted pregnancies are still going to happen regardless of that anyway, but taking advice and education about abortion away from those women is only going to have negative effects for them.

Unsafe abortions and maternal deaths will also result in those female babies dying. This isn't a ban on abortions it's a ban on information and education being given to women living in poverty.

Yes, they are things that would need to be looked into, however, and I don't know the facts, but I'd guess that those cases are not the ones that the majority of funding is going too.

I think that if men want a say in abortion, they should be required to be more responsible when a woman becomes pregnant. Seeing this decision made by a roomful of men makes it look like an archaic control thing.

No, of course not.

Are we somehow saying the decision to have an abortion should be legislated by a room full of men?

At least until the Flakes made with white chocolate on the inside are re-released by Cadburys anyway. Bloody lovely they were.

Flakes (the chocolate bar) are also pretty fragile, maybe that word will do too when describing an easily triggered/upset/outraged individual.

Meh, it was in response to being told I was being personally abusive in a thread that I made one post I'm sure I'm less fine with this complete lie than the other member is with being called snowflake. I'm sure its less of your concern than you like to think it is too.

Also, the background youve missed is that the original member popularised the term
But you seem comfortable enough on that high horse, so we'll move on.

Well, I'm not on a high horse. But I can understand that it might look like that from where you are.

See? We can go backwards and forwards with this all night. Tedious. I wasn't rude to you get you had to come back with an insult.

We're all pretty nice people on here, with strong opinions. Let's try to get on more. Because frankly, it's a pain in the arse to go into a thread and see everyone being so bitchy. If we were all in a room rather than online it would be so different.

. I used the term snowflake in retaliation to something a lot worse.. Pretty similar to what you've done here, are you a fan of irony? Put me on that extensive ignore list if you dont like me behaving this way.. But umm.. Youve kind of done the same.
