They're not famous for their music, they're famous for being morons (at least everywhere outside of Ireland). I bet 99% of the public couldn't name 5 of their songs.

I'd bet the same for many of the so called big names now as to that.

In Europe it is music they are known for since being in the Eurovision song contest twice.

People do sing songs there, so sorry it may not be your taste in music but actually it is to millions of others Worldwide.

Anyway they had hit singles and albums before their Eurovision appearances.
