He's one of those actors that you recognize but find it difficult to remember where from. That said, directors and producers of these big budget films are aware if him, and if Oscar winning directors such as Mel Gibson and Danny Boyle want you in their films then i'd say you were pretty successful. Again, i agree he is not necessarily an 'A List' star but he is still highly enough regarded in the industry to be cast in some big budget films.

I'd never heard of him before CBB and I'd agree he's not A list, he can't really be compared in terms of fame to big movie stars. But I'd definitely say he's B list which is still pretty good for a CBB booking.

No I didn't base it on the fact I hadn't heard of him, I said I hadn't heard of him and I'd agree he's not A-list. the reason I don't think he's A-list is because I don't think his fame compares to other (bigger) movie stars... (which I also said in my post).

OK yes, the rest of them that have been in there this year are firmly D-List and Z-List... but James can surely only be considered a solid C-List? He's a minor character actor... yes, he's been in a LOT of shows, but not even really any supporting roles let alone feature roles? His GoT character had impact on the story but, if you add up all of his screen time, I doubt it amounts to more than 15 - 20 minutes... and not even all of the GoT main cast would be considered A-List celebrities.

Peter Dinklage, Lena Headey, Emilia Clarke, Kit Harington, MAYBE Sophie Turner since X-men could be considered low-level A list. A lot of the others B list but no more.

James Cosmo A-list...

BB cannot afford A list actors. and A list actors have better things to do!

Rubbish. He is a serious actor with a long career. Hardly D list. Few get to make a long-term career out of acting. He has done well for himself.
