It was always going to be the result. Imagine if we'd voted to remain in the EU and someone brought a court case forcing a parliamentary vote which might lead to us leaving.
Imagine if Scotland had voted to leave the UK and someone had brought a court case allowing parliament to overrule the referendum.
Outrage would ensue...
So all that happened in the end was that a lot of lawyers have ended up with taxpayers money for fighting a futile court case.
