Presumably because she was aware, as were most people, that if Parliament blocked Brexit there would be civil unrest. Now we've had the expensive court case, parliament's initially voted in support of May and we're back to where we were before anyone decided it was illegal. Like I said previously, all that's changed is that a lot of lawyers will be sending in higher tax returns next year.
