I'm not sure which is more delusional; the idea that America and the UK could "easily crush" the combined military forces of the entire EU... or the idea that America gives enough of a **** about the UK for such an alliance to be even vaguely realistic .

The EU is more valuable to the US than the UK is. By a gargantuan margin. Your perspective is so far off of reality that it's not even amusing.
