Even the most rabid Brexiteer would probably not have voted for the English Defence League in order to get it. I don't see Le Pen as any better than them.

The most rabid Brexiteers are the EDL. Surely. I can't imagine any of them voted "Remain"

Do you even know what you are talking about? Alot of French people are either black or middle eastern no matter how much they won't out of the EU they will not put themselves at risk to someone who hates anyone that isn't white

Default Centrism

Okay, bear with me. I'm not well-informed with politics as many people on this forum are, in comparison.

However, with Emmanuel Macron winning the French presedential election under a centre political party, I wonder whether this political outlook could be a positive way forward? I feel there's such aminosity between the left-wing/right-wing that this literal compromise may be beneficial for most indiviudals? Obviously that doesn't mean it has its faults—I understand that people believe En Marche! are masquerading liberal views in this regard. I also know the establishment of such political parties within culture would make it difficult for newer centrist parties to gain momentum. For example. I think, the closest thing to a centrist party in the UK are the Liberal Democrats.

Is centrism, in a less technical term, 'fence-sitting'? idk, I feel that that idea has its benefits, and if there were such a party in the UK that valued centrism—I would vote for them. Or is it better to utilise the centre-part of the spectrum, and then have left-leaning, or right-leaning values?

"Just wanna dance the night away"

Look at those moves! She can still cut a rug with the best of them.

Le Pen is stepping down from politics, citing personal reasons.

You can all sleep that little bit easier now.

So it is. That'll teach me to break a story quickly.

Their names are very similar (I'm having that as my excuse)7

Sorry people, you'll still have to live in fear for the time being.
