I think paying for uni may make people appreciate education more/not take it for granted which could reflect in results and give a better work ethic

However i also don't like the idea of loading people with huge debt at the very beginning of their life.People should start life with a level playing field and make their own borrowing decisions. It also promotes a borrowing culture that can leave people bogged down with debt and stress for life.
dont really think it works like that, all they do is drink and party they don't have any concept of the debt they will be in for years

Well yeah they do go out and piss up their loans.
However i think there is something to be said for putting a value on education.

I don't think it should be as much as it is but I can't see it being free. How will Uni's be paid for? taxing everyone else?

I would like to see a lot more scholarships to encourage young people to work hard to get into uni.

Since fees were introduced there has been a huge increase in the number of students attending including more poorer kids, the standard of education has gone up, there are now many more universities and there is a much wider variety of courses on offer. They're not popular but tuition fees have transformed higher education for the better

I think it would be better to fund primary education more instead. That's where the difference is made.

So do you believe that Universities should be free? And if so, who for? Everyone or only people who couldn't have afforded it
I think it is unfair that only the rich can go and a more equal platform needs to be introduced but for this to happen is as likely as me getting a A plus in the poetry university of Highgate

Public Libraries are free, couldn't people educate themselves?
