I was saying to Firewire yesterday - I know it's silly to concentrate on the super beloved popstar who escaped totally unhurt in all of this but I can't imagine how guilty she must feel. I know I'd be plagued by thoughts like "they wouldn't have been here tonight if it wasn't for me" if I were in her position, even if such thoughts are of course ridiculous and she's in no way to blame. It's just not something that could ever be resolved for someone in her position, and this event will likely be associated with her name for the rest of her life.

Of course, like I said, silly to think it in context of the hundreds of family members and friends who've actually lost someone on Monday night let alone the scores injured.

There was actually a documentary I saw about this not too long ago. I think it was on the Beeb but I can't really remember. It was about some of the muslim kids who have run off to Syria and looked a bit closely at their families and fathers views.

I agree....everyone there will have been affected by what happened. Obviously some more than others but I do agree with Shaun when he said she will have a lot of guilt (obviously unfounded). I do feel for her

It's a lovely gesture, it won't change what happened and it probably won't ease the (truly undeserved) guilt she'll feel over it all but it'll make things slightly easier on families of the victims financially.

I also heard her mother helped a bunch of children get out by taking them back stage. I've got a lot of respect for both of them.
