I think you will find that most feel that they have lost the argument when they do that but that doesn't necessarily mean they can let it go. That depends on the person or their mood.

Shouldn't that type of behaviour be challenged? What is your suggestion then? Should people either take it or avoid the confrontation (in other words keep it buttoned).
