It's only in big cities like London etc where Subways get a lot more customers (as they're communing to work). The 7-8 subways in my town and surrounding towns all have no toasting charge.

I've never had a Subway. I only eat wholemeal bread. I'm a bit of a fussy bread eater and they have nothing that I want to eat.

I used to buy their custom made sandwiches. They're very tasty and the price is very fair.

Chicken tikka with toasted cheese, tomato, cucumber and onion on Italian. Lovely.

Son loves chicken and bacon with toasted cheese, salt and southwest sauce on Italian and herb.
