New information has come to light on this that suggests the scene is not as odd as people first assumed, and that there might actually be some justification in the bible for this.
In a somewhat bizarre twist, eagle-eyed commentators have noticed a hidden message in the Bible.
Take the words, "Lord Jesus" and say them out loud backwards, and the truth is revealed.

Thats right. "Sausaged Roll", more commonly known as a "sausage roll". There is at least some likelihood that this has been the plan all along, and the bakery chain may even have had a hand in creating bible lore for this very ad.
