It's often said that it costs the US Courts more money to execute someone than it does to keep them alive for (I think) 60 years. There's a lot of red tape involved in executing someone and that red tape costs money to overcome. Execution is not practical or cost effective.

Never really read anything on the Manson family before so never knew who the people involved were or the details behind it but wow @ that read. Such a sickening individual & group.

Although even before reading this I was thinking it'd make for a good horror movie.... although pretty inconsiderate to do that.
