I find ted and joyces relationship very nice to watch . How sentimental and nostalgic they get is a pleasure to watch , but they don’t really interact with other characters and don’t add anything to the show . I do miss Pam and les and think they were the better couple. R.

Johnny served his purpose after three or four episodes, he's always been a fairly uninteresting and pointless character.

There have been a few missed opportunities with him . Him and Ben , even him and Derek that would have made an interesting pairing . I always thought Derek had the hots for him . Age is just a number after all . R.

I don’t believe a boy his age spends all his time with his family at his family pub with seemingly no friends . Linda treats him like a baby her little sausage . He acts like a little boy . As an actor I’m sure he’s capable of more - I think the material they’ve given him has just been weak which makes him seem rubbish as an actor . R.

Johnny was a wasted character after the first few weeks he appeared on screen. They had a great coming out story as his introduction but they didn't take it anywhere.

Just another example of the older soaps being bad at managing gay characters well (don't even get me started on the bisexual characters).

I agree dezzy

I know Ben and Johnny had a one night stand but I think the producers avoided putting the only two young male gay characters together for a reason . Probably rightly so too , just because there are two gay boys in the same square doesn’t mean they’re gonna be boyfriends.

They could have introduced a love interest for Johnny . It would have been great to see a strong LGBT relationship on the show. Don’t like Sonia as a lesbian and Tina seems to make her own rules up as she goes along.
