How do you know what discrimination a gay person faces on a regular basis? Unless you're part of the LGBT yourself then you can't really know.
As for the rest of your post, you're basically saying what I mocked in that 'Gay people are okay, just be quiet about it' post. Being gay is only okay if you can pass for normal, being gay is only okay if you don't consider it a massive part of who you are, being gay is only okay if the gays minimise their gayness as to not offend others.
Gay people don't make themselves look like attention seekers for embracing their sexuality, that's just what people who are uncomfortable with gay people being comfortable with who they are think.
