You think gay people don't need to talk about their sexuality because you don't have to as a heterosexual but the thing is, if an LGBT person stays quiet about the injustices they face then those injustices keep happening. Your discomfort doesn't really matter much when you match it against raising awareness of issues that plague the gay community.

But first gay people aren’t experiencing like mass discrimination. The discrimination they are experiencing is bad but I feel the best way to combat it is to have NORMAL gay people show that they are more than their sexuality on tv and other media. It normalises it and makes people more comfortable around them. People like Shane j are alienating the gay community in a way, making them look like attention seekers.
