Thinking about it after seeing the posts in this thread - is it voting for a specific set of views or are we voting for more than that? I'm quite sure it's the latter.
I don't think anyone here is against gay rights or equality, so there's no arguing about Shane J's message.
From this point onwards, it's the added value that the housemate brings with him/her.
If it was solely the message of equality, then I don't see how the rest of the house (minus Ann in some things) are less worthy than Shane J.
For me Shane J has nothing to offer other than the message that he brings with him - while other housemates who share the same views, have given more depth to their own character.
Shane J just doesn't have exclusivity on the LGBT and equality message, nor he should win for it like he's the only one in the house who holds it.
A vote for Shane J is simply a vote for Shane J...
