TV shows inevitably are going to drop in ratings as they go on, hence why there's such a ridiculous turnover of TV series these days. You can't really correlate statistics with how good the quality of a season is. BB6 is considered an iconic series by many fans of the show, you just have to look at any Big Brother forum to see that.
Also, for what it's worth, stating somebody's opinion is wrong
is rude. If you want to get statistical and matter of fact about it, just check out the BB threads and popularity polls on here and you can see that BB6 has always been popular:
