The fact that Brandi was so rude to his face and he was rude to her in the diary room is why he outlasted her to begin with. You can't be completely honest about negative feelings you have on people on Big Brother US. If James for example, was sniping and rude to Brandi the same way she was to him, he'd be a prime target by the house for flying off the handle too much in how he speaks to her. Therefore his negativity would've come from the diary room because you'd gain nothing out of being like that to someone's face, which is why Brandi got evicted in the first place.
