If you guys want serious debates to be, ignoring the OP and patting each other on the back and talking about the injustices you think you face every single day, then sure, continue I guess.

I'll continue to remind you to talk about the OP if you dont mind cos I do quite like the subforum, I'll just be less persistent next time. There seems to be a quite firm gang who just dont enjoy discussion, unless they change it about themselves or other forum members. Its kinda tragic.

Talking of gangs - what about those that dish it out but can't take it back and then try to play the innocent and accuse others who aren't afraid to point out what they see as inappropriate behaviour as 'gangs'. Way to twist things Withano, I am not part of a gang,how childish,I am probably just part of a group of people who can see that sometimes ,some posters are treated quite harshly, I would be the same if someone was doing it to you,we all have faults,no harm in admitting it.

I don't actually care about banned members returning, but I do have a problem with them pretending to be new members and not acknowledging who they actually are. That IS baiting, and I think the mods should enforce a rule that if you want to return you're not allowed to lie, so that everything is completely transparent.

Some people probably just want a fresh start and has anyone lied about who they are just lately? If they have I must have missed it, but if you didn't like that person,if they said who they are people would automatically dislike them again whether they had changed or not ,so I'm not so sure,I mean most of our usernames are not actually who we are. I don't mind anyone returning either.

Otherwise, old resentments could surface immediately if there are members who remember them from before they were banned. People change and grow up but if they have to admit who they are immediately then they will not be able to demonstrate they have moved on.

I do understand the arguments in bold, but I'm not sure I agree. If anything, people having to admit to or use their old usernames would be able to prove they've changed even more so than if they weren't. If you knew it was them, and you could see they were changing, that seems a lot better to me in demonstrating someone's moved on than pretending they don't have a clue what you're on about. Stacey for example I don't think has ever denied she's back on the forum, but she has been remorseful and I'm sure most people would agree, has integrated herself well again.

The thing is people don't get permanently banned anymore (I think I'm right in saying that) so it's not really as much of an issue as it might be otherwise. And like Withano said, if a multi starts causing trouble they'll just be banned again. So I don't have a problem with it personally. Then again I've never been personally targeted by anyone on here so I can understand why other people might have a problem with it depending on who the multi is.

Also, there's always the ignore function, so if there's someone on the forum who people would like to be banned but they aren't going to be, ban them yourself

That assumes they were banned fairly in the first place and that other posters had no part to play in that who may not have been honest about their role in the issues. That would be no surprise.

Not everyone who has actually been banned necessarily was the guilty, or only guilty party. We are not always dealing with honest and reasonable people on this site and those who escaped a ban for whatever reason are never going to admit to their own bad behaviour. All these assumptions get on my wick as people seem to have no clue as to what some posters on here can be like.
