Yeah I thought mine would be too because they were born in the noughties but apparently not. My youngest brother is 30 and he is though.

Sounds about right, I roughly thought it was "university aged, to 40", so I was off by a few years each way.

If you are born 1996 it makes you 22 so most people would have finished university

Jolly good

I always thought the generations went something like this -
Baby Boomers: born ~1945 to ~1965 Generation X: born ~1965 to ~1980 Millennials / Generation Y: born ~1980 to ~1995 Generation Z: born ~1995 onwards |

Seriously, what does it matter? Who really cares about it other than Buzzfeed's editors?

Whats the point in grouping several ages together and giving them an unbrella term? Does anyone know? A millenial born in 96 would typically have more in common with a Gen Z born in 2000, than a millenial born in 1981. Seems a bit daft.. unless theres something obvious that I've been missing?

Almost nothing matters tbh, but people like to categorize things, and it could be argued there are differences between the generations.

Apparently there's also a tiny subset generation that I'm part of that only lasted a couple of years. I can't remember what it's called... But basically, if in your childhood you remember NOT having things like Internet, no mobile phones, etc but also in your teens DO have those things. Basically one foot in and one foot out of the "Internet generation".
It is a weird one really. I mean, my childhood involved both being online / on forums etc by my early teens... But also playing games that loaded off of cassette tapes not long before ![]() |

Oh also, when people talk about "Millennials" in the media, these days to be honest they're actually talking about early Generation Z... They generally mean people who are in their early 20's. Who are not actually millennials at all any more.

In my experience the young blame the old for having it easy and ****ing it up and the old blame the young for being entitled and wanting it all. When really we need to fix the NOW and all pull together to try and fix this cluster **** we are in now, not just play the blame game.

This baby boomer doesn’t blame her millennial kids for anything..apart from premature ageing.
