No, there are different types of strength and bravery, and it's totally down to individual differences in my opinion. I guess the reason this myth (that men are braver) might perpetuate is that in certain circumstances, e.g. Someone being attacked, carrying someone out of danger, saving people from sinking cars, etc we more often see males jumping in than females but that's really just because males are on average more physically cut out for those situations, so it's less of a risk. Less of a risk isn't the same as "more brave". Also... I personally don't think that these acute physical situations are the really big "tests of bravery" in life, anyway.
I guess maybe on average, you could argue that men are more physically confident than women? And jump into certain physical situations more often for that reason.
