Minimum wage is increasing steadily to reach their £9ish target. OK. Meanwhile... Most of us who are on ABOVE minimum wage haven't seen a meaningful pay rise in nearly a decade. My hourly pay has gone up by maybe 30p in the last 4 years . So that's why the inequality is lessening... Because minimum wage is catching up with everyone else's wages which are completely ****ing stagnant. Woohoooo.
Yeah, it's a bit like saying the gender pay gap is improving, by slashing the higher paid male employees.
