Ugh, Maria's always been ****ing dire.

There's a core group of people that drag this show down Michelle/Fiz/Maria/Sean and they seem to be above sacking. You can tell Cotton is not liked and they don't think he's got the talent as he's never given any plots. Yet, they continually employ him. He's either shagging the head of ITV or gets dirt on each and every new EP the show gets.

Agree with all but Michelle, she's good!

Just thinking back over the past so many years and basically Maria's sole purpose has been to be a bit of a slag?

If Pat shoots Michelle and kills her then that would be iconic! and i would start watching more often.

Michelle was brilliant when she lost her baby but everything before and since she always makes me cringe at how bad she. Kym Marsh seems to only be a capeable actress when drawing from experience which imo makes her a poor actress.

Great ep apart from Carla, whose completely emotionless performance was totally unbelievable

It's all showboating that's why. Hair perfectly styled, make up on point whilst she folds her arms, poses and pouts. All about Kym.

Tbf, the woman has killed 5 husbands, lost her mum, lost Hayley to suicide, she's made of steel when it comes to death.

I disagree but my mum said that too.

Carla is an Ice Queen, she won't show emotion now because she'll want to be the support but as the funeral draws closer she'll start to grieve I think.

What an above poster said, was that everyone’s reaction was different, and sometimes shock makes you just totally emotionless.

Yeah I agree. When my Grandad died I was almost emotionless until the funeral and then it hit me really hard

SOME people react to grief in the way that Carla did, they just go totally almost "robotic" and emotionless, like as if they're in auto-pilot. It usually hits them days/weeks/months later and massively, I know people like this.

Actually, I thought it was classic Carla. She’s always dealt with her emotions like that, and the last thing she’d ever do when her family needed her would be to be unable to do anything because she was too messy herself.

Also Cherie clearly isn't up to date on her spoilers....

Spoiler:

Beginning Friday, Carla starts to exhibit strange behaviour which leads to the reveal that, via his transplanted kidney, she is channelling Aiden's spirit.

Over time she comes to accept the possession and going forward will live as Aiden forever. Alison King is very excited to take on this acting challenge and is even growing a beard to show her commitment to the role.

I personally think the acting across the board was great. Eva and Johnny were AMAZING

It was important they shown the different reactions people had, especially the ignorant exchange between the factory girls

Did they disclose how he died? Other than him being found in the bathroom?

Im glad Beth's "suicide is selfish" bull**** got snapped up but "man up" should've been called out on more. Not like the moment called for it but part of me hopes they take apart that awful phrase and make a point about stereotypes

No I don't think so, however when Johnny went into the bathroom it sounded like he was "lifting" something, which could indicate a hanging but idk.

I think it was cute how Carla didn't show emotion? everyone has a different way of dealing with this type of stuff and not everyone shows their emotion, some are in denial, some are robotic and some cry. It wouldn't have been realistic if they all had the same emotions.

Ive definitely seen Carla's grieving in the people around me more often than other grieving too. It'll be nice for it to be shown as okay, not heartless
