Its not like the US Police force don't have form for shoot first, ask questions later.

LT is usually first to remind us how difficult it is to be a Police Officer in the US and how they fear for their lives every time they put on a uniform. This unnecessary killing is another to add to the list of civilians being killed when non lethal force was sufficient

in a situation like this, when your capital building is under attack, shoot to incapacitate, make sure they are no longer a threat

teargas is also a good one, and usage of tasers whenever being attacked yourself is a good last resort weapon of choice
