FAR from it. GTA's up there with the most overrated franchises. GTA4 was so poor, it's a sad day when a knockoff product like Saints Row feels more like a true GTA game then an actual GTA game.

Anyway I agree with Patrick that Call Of Duty is by far the most overrated game that i've ever played, I think there is much better Shoot Em Ups out there than Call Of Duty.

Call of Duty gets way too much hate to possibly be the most overrated.

Call Of Duty has the critics behave like it's the best thing ever created, and the sales for the games are massive.

Anyway GTA probably is a bit overrated imo because I don't think it's the best Gaming franchise ever.

People hate COD because it's COD so I don't really think it's underrated or overrated anymore. GTA is fun and I've never played it loads and I don't follow the story much I just loved GTA4 because I could kill people with good graphics and Michelle was fun to repeatedly kill too.

Havent the games consistently been the highest selling franchise of games for the past 5 years? I know TiBB generally doesnt rate them well, but it's damn well still worshipped by about 7m Youtube channels, just look at Machinima.com, they upload about 20 CoD videos a week

GTA is overrated, but I still love playing it, that why I voted, that and RE1 was a bit dodgy compared to its sequels

Doesn't make it highly rated. Compare it to music; the likes of Katy Perry and Nicki Minaj aren't rated particularly highly, yet still have millions of fans, selling millions of records. They just appeal to a huge audience.

The Call of Duty games are good for what they are. It's the fact they've made minimal changes to the games over the last like 4 they've released that's the issue, and them churning out a new one every year. The series at this point has just as many haters as fans, if not more.

But they don't As I say, for what it is, Call of Duty is very good.

And video game critics are rarely reliable for huge releases anyway.

If that many people are buying it consistently, then they must think it is good. For what its supposed to be, it's not good at all, what would be good is if they became more inventive like they were during the CoD4 and WaW days. Ever since MW2 the games have copied the same basic things

And those basic things still work for a lot of people. Most of us loved at least one Call of Duty, we just grew tired of the formula and gameplay mechanics. CoD games are quite clearly not being made to be innovative.

Though I think Black Ops 2 will probably be the last game like this they can put out until the sales starting dropping and there's an even bigger backlash.

I hope so, it'd be great if we saw some huge leaps forward for Black Ops II, but I'm not sure.
