That way you're a mile away from the idiot and you have his shoes too

It is better to wail hysterically than to never wail at all....

Nobody has been warned not to speak to specific members, glenn or anyone. As you know the advice was if you cannot be civil then don't speak.
Excellent advice.

Excellent advice.
I've been perfectly civil, but when the conversation turns in a manner you can't handle, you resort to victim mode. I'm really sorry - you wrote in either this thread or another that the truth doesn't hurt. Maybe it does after all.

No it doesn't, and I'm really not in victim mode I don't feel challenged. Should I?
Instead of skirting around if you would like to make a direct accusation do it, I can't respond to generalizations.
I have stated my view as have others on the thread.

I'm 95 percent on board with Ammi's post above, and I'm sick to the frigging back teeth of all of it.

Jesus, stop with the constant snipes about us all being on final warnings please, you are on one too.

Everyone wind your necks in fgs / I've just had my mum die, another family death imminent (cancer) half my family is at daggers drawn over where mums ashes should be buried or scattered

STOP now and try to get on!!!!

I've been fairly specific about what has happened on this forum. There is no point making anything more direct than that, because no ones interested. There have been worse things happen than this, and no one did anything then. So what's the point now? It's just consistent with what we've seen from a certain group of people.

I'll let others have their opinions and make false equivalences over some of the despicable s**t we've seen on here, and instead of accusing mods of protecting some people, why don't you actually realise you were a rule change happening sooner away from all being on indefinite bans.

As are you as you know, and while everyone else has contributed to the forum in a manner that is acceptable and within the rules you appear to be as confrontational as ever.
Maybe I'm being a little sensitive, this thread was encouraging some honest opinion without any malice, taking it in this direction is not really beneficial to the debate.
There is no reason for any forum member to be in the same thread and others be conscious of any animosity, can we please draw a line under this finger pointing please?

..you know what.... what’s ‘wrong’ with TiBB is this...the fact that virtually every thread is turned into a public ‘airing’ of personal issues, to the point that I’m surprised the forum has still got the members that it has...because to be quite honest, why would anyone want to be in an environment of constant bickering/sniping/innuendos..this is what makes it unpleasant, this is what makes it awkward..this is why the enthusiasm for posting isn’t there....every individual goes through times when they enjoy the forum more/enjoy it less for reasons of their own but this is something that’s involving too many members...

..I know there have been ‘wrongs’ on this forum ...what’s the point of going into specifics/who did what/who said what, it’s all just become tit for tat and is never ending...nothing can change what has happened in the past and laying blame/accusations will achieve nothing...all that will do is keep everything and everyone stuck in a groove of misery and resentment, which is fine if that’s where people want to stay but those people aren’t insulated and their actions/words on a public forum have an effect of every single other poster who really doesn’t want to read this constantly and have threads ruined...

..I have worked with young children for almost 20 yrs and I can’t think of one single occasion/incident of dispute which they in the 5-9yrs of their young lives, they haven’t been able to move on from...because they do understand that ‘he said/she said’ achieves nothing and will only stop your enjoyment and personal pleasure of something..maybe for some adults, it enhances it, people are different and some like to enjoy the good/positive things and some thrive on drama and negativity...that’s cool, but take it off the forum and stop inflicting it on everyone else who tbh, has had enough and just wants to be able to log on here and enjoy talking to the people they have met, without any undertones or awkwardness...stop being so selfish..because however cleverly people manipulate their snipes to try to hide them and keep within ‘the rules’... believe me, they’re still very plain to see...and extremely tedious...

..ok, I started this thread, so with sadness at yet another thread ruined..could a mod close it now please, it's run it's course....

Oh that's right it was in that thread where someone suggested new ways to bring people onto this forum. These threads all end up the same really.
