What about a sub section for a specific age group - ie; Over 25's or something.

Tibbs is a forum that has many younger members who seem to resent anyone over the age of about 20 / 22 or so and quite a few of them (not all, but a few very prolific posters) who make snipes, bitch and generally can be bothersome to those older than they are - for no real reason.

A section of the forum designed for those over a certain age bracket would be a benefit - a place where the 'older members' can post without having to put up with the less mature type of posts.

It may also help bring in more members to tibbs that fall into that age group - rather than as it seems at the moment - and that is: to be targetted specifically to the very younger generations.

More members means more diversity and far more interaction for all.

If anything I think that'll subtract from the community feel of the forum personally. Plus with all due respect, a lot of the over 25s on here aren't actually that mature at all. :P

If your gonna do that then your gonna have to make sub-forums for every age group.

It sort of isolates us young 'uns who don't cause any trouble

Also you were getting on at Redway earlier about it being a public forum for anyone to talk on, would hardly be that public if sub-forums aren't open to members of a certain age.

Why?

Rants can be openly discussed, were not talking about just heavy stuff (which people would PM members theyre close with surely if they wanted it kept private?) but rants to do with anything. Great way to vent and to seek advice for.

Let's quantify your last comment there. That could apply to ALL of the other suggestions then for every current section - I see plenty of posts that are on here that have nothing to do with the actual sub section or the thread subject.

It doesn't mean others cannot contribute: MORE that similar to other existing threads -that have a general flavour about them.

It would also go against the main thrust of the thread - given that it would be in a specified sub-section. I'm quite sure on a football subsection: it would not be expected for members to add posts that all of a sudden were poems - it could work the same way.


The age group was an example only LemonJam...... as I said in my earlier post. ie over 25s or something. It wasn't absolute.

It could work both ways with an 18+ forum and a 17- forum.

Personally dont see the need for it, if anything there will be more of a divide between older and younger members. It works pretty well as it is.
