"Russia backs Trump" is not really a very good advertisement for him is it?Let's hope that if Trump does get in that he is nothing like Putin or he will end up invading Mexico rather than just building a wall in front of it.

Here what two college guys who sneaked in to one of Trumps rally's because they thought it would be entertaining but actually ended up very disturbed by the crowds reaction to Trumps words.....

"Trump basically said the same few things the whole time. He knows exactly what will get a cheer from the crowd and he says it. He mentioned his wall several times. About five or six if I can remember correctly. At one point he said ‘We’re going to build a wall. And who’s going to pay for it?’ And the crowd yelled, ‘Mexico!’ and then they lost their minds.

“Now, we all know exactly why this is stupid. So I won’t elaborate. It was just very unsettling. He mentioned ISIS several times. About ten. But not exactly how to stop ISIS. Just comments like, ‘We’re gonna get ISIS’, and ‘ISIS is going down’. Blanket statements.

“He did say that for America to win again (any sort of winning, not just against ISIS) we have to go outside of the law and he isn’t afraid to do it. And that’s unsettling for several reasons…And that was all he said on policy. Completely void of content or substance. Just statements that would get the crowd cheering.”

It’s been long-said that Donald Trump supporters have no clue about his political stance. When you ask Donald’s followers why they choose him, the majority of the answers sound like:

“He tells it like it is.” (How is it, exactly?)
“He’s going to get this country back the way it needs to be.” (As opposed to what?)
“He’s going to make this country great again.” (What is “great”?)
“Donald Trump is what this country needs.” (For whom?)

You get the picture. These are real answers from a surprisingly large percentage of Donald Trump’s supporters.

No, it was about what it feels like to be in a Trump rally if you are not a "real" trump supporter.

You're presuming they don't understand politics. I could say you don't understand politics but that would merely be me being presumptios wouldn't it?

Feck yes! I've been to a few political rallies in my time and that's what they are generally about.

it would be political suicide if any of the candidates talked about specific policy at this stage

Sounds like a fairly typical rally tbh. They're not supposed to be places for serious debate about policy and you're not trying to convince the people who are there because they already support your campaign, you're just trying to pump them up and give them something to cheer about

Trump is like Billy Graham. If you can get enough people in a football stadium and repeatedly chant stuff about God, you're guaranteed some new baptisms before the nights out.

Many of us enjoyed laughing at Trump, we enjoyed watching America the butt of jokes across the world, but now its more serious, he's a right wing bigot whose making his career out of inciting racial hatred and something similar to the civil rights movements is breaking out wherever he goes, good luck to them, good luck to the brave people who stand up against them faced with a wall of aggressive police and pepper spray.

I don't think any racists sit around saying "I'm a racist". In fact most think they are good people with strong beliefs that only differ from the strong beliefs of others. Hell, even KKK members don't call themselves racists.

So what is Trumps message to the lowest common denominator?

“We’ll Make America GREAT again”
“immigrations is bad”
“We are going to work for the good people of America”
“Mexicans and Muslims are bad”
“I’m the guy who says it like it is”
“we are going to build a wall across Mexico”
“Lets Make America GREAT again"

The part I pay attention to is not whether or not Trump says or admits that he is a racist because to me, Trump is just a man who does a magnificent job of managing the people who are susceptible to his messages. He’s got the knack in putting human subjects into stereotyped objects which makes Trump a magnet to the supremacist majority.
