Thank god the tried old tactic of "give an answer that ties in with one of the other answers" paid off here (putting 'Tom' for the animated cat and then 'Tom & Jerry' for the duo)... I wouldn't have thought of Garfield (despite having a teddy bear of him sorry lasagna boy) but my other thought was Top Cat.

Not because I don't love sports but because a "top answers" type of sports quiz on a UK-based site is the only type of sports quiz I'd flop in
