I`ve been sayen this in every Thread involving Isaac and Kenneth before they entered and no one took noticed!

Its ridiculous, I know people who have auditioned, made it so close and then turned down because they dont date a HM!

I bet half the rejects this year were more entertaining than half of these people!

It was only shocking and brung in ratings when Nicole went in, now its used too much..

Bring in Marcus mum if they really want to shock people!

Its for these reasons the show is dying on its arse,,,it really cant continue with these wannabees,,,,the producers should find another way of getting hm's cus the current selection process from about bb6 onwards is exactly like the op has said. As a fan of bb i have to say this is probably the last year i will watch if the program (which i'm sure other fans over the years have done which is why the viewing figures are down)
TAKE NOTE OF THREADS LIKE THESE BB PRODUCERS IF YOU WANT TO SAVE THE SHOW!!!!!!!!!!

BB is more of a dying soap opera than a reality show now.

Thank god this will be its last year.
You don't have to watch it if it stays on..

I do. My new hobby is Hira spotting.

Ah yes BB1 was a ground breaking wonder. From then, on as far as normal contestants were concerned, it was downhill all the way.

Years ago BB in the US put in housemates ex partners, BB Uk are just moving with the times. Hosnestly, if it was the same old dreary format, even us dedicated fans would not be watching.

Peace out

im lovin this year's Big Brother USA.
much better
Where can I watch BB USA?

The problem with BB uk is that people don't like gameplans, backstabbing etc, but in BB USA thats what it's all about. People realise it's a show and they just enjoy it.

i watch it on tv, but you can also see it at http://www.justin.tv/dreamangel/old

it tells you when its on,

sun 8pm - tues 9pm - thurs 8pm

so if you wanna watch it in britain, i think the times are:

mon 2am - wed 3am - fri 2am

I jus tuned into LF.. when and how did noirin's ex b/f go into the house?

and what a load of bollox is that... do the producers think its gnna be more entertaining..?

so what if noirin is a flirt and there is tension in the house.. thats wat the show is about.. 2 ex boyfriends coming in2 the house aint made it any better.. and as for the adution process its a total joke ..

I even tried to propose a compromise and for that matter even take the short end of the compromise:

Let BB drop all pretense (and really they have now) and let your Summer season just go stupid with what are really just the 20 different Models and Actors whom the BB Agents have deals with. Let that be full of the Professional Reality Show Contestants traded back and forth by the established 'Biz' dealers. (Noirin, Isaac etc) and the Boyfriend and Girlfriends of HMs and Producers and even throw the celebrities in there. You Jeremy Kyle people (the professional talk-show contestants,
and,
Dont even bother with any pretense of following the original idea (already there) but so what.. have half the people already know each other, be like BBUSA and make sure 10 of them are all from the same NightClub that BB Producers frequent.
Have guests evicted and then return, have their family show up, have no evictions for months,
GO FOR IT!!
Basically just hire the cast from the Jerry Springer Play and have them live there for 3 months. Which is all you are doing now anyways.
Just do it.
Enjoy.. love it. Get massive disposable income from the types who obviously love that.

Okay.. Now... all I would ask is that for the Winter Season, instead of CBB (which is hard to discern anyways),
Instead,
Make the Winter version of BB (brace yourselves) but make that a fully legit, old-skool, purist, original concept Big Brother!!!!
I know wtf!?
Just give us that. 12 complete strangers who, in some broad range, represent some sort of reflection of the real UK demographic.
Absolutely NOBODY who has ever had a 'talent agent' and nobody who has ever been in television or entertainment.
12 complete strangers who are meeting for the FIRST TIME and who have NEVER worked for or been in the BB house.
Actual original BB rules and process.
Actually focus on their subtle and deepening inter-relationships.

At this point I would GLADLY settle for that. Then do whatever the F you want with your 3 month long Jerry Springer Play loosely based on the Big Brother concept featuring actors, models and friends of producers.
But give us that little something in Winter?
Is that so much to ask?
Can we get SOME sort of concession on this?

The Nicole stunt last year was kind of interesting. But then, illustrating their lack of imagination, the producers seemed to think they could simply take that stunt and do it again and again this year.

And, really, bringing in contestants from other reality shows is just totally crossing the line into the realm of lunacy.

I totally agree with chuckyegg. All the focus is drawn to the people you mention. Rex and his vacuous tart last year, hard-faced Karly and her d1ckhead of a boyfriend this year, who happens to be a friend of Rex. Now we've got Noirin and the shamelessly self-promoting "entertainer and bar owner" Isaac.

BB need to get back to the original premise or they're dead in the water.

Maybe the HM's have always consisted of:

Friends of previous winners
Relatives of Endemol employees
Promotions girls
Relatives of Premier league footballers
Rich people who can buy themselves (and thier girlfriends) into the house

Davina's milkman
Dreamboats from other reality shows.

I really think us ordinary plebs should be aware of this before we make the effort to audition.

This show is now so far removed from it's origional intentions. It started as a social experiment now it's a popularity contest between rich people and c-list celebrities and us mortals pick up the phone and part with our money like fools.

A bloody monkey could tell you why people don't watch it anymore.
Completely agree!!

The whole programme has gone right off track now! Lost its original meaning! And they wonder why viewing figures have dropped!! It is now a complete sham!!

It is so unfair to give certain housemates such an obvious advantage over the others - and as good as turn it into their own show!

Why would anyone now want to audition for next year's show (if there is one) - what is the point?

Sex pests, playboy gangsters, boyfriends, ex-boyfriends, sons of friends of Davina's (Rex), his girlfriend - can't be doing with it anymore!

Don't know about anyone else - but I for one won't be voting or viewing any more. This show is nothing without viewers and voters - the general public make the show - but in return get treated pretty shabily. Not voting and not viewing is the only 'voice' we have.

To me BB1 was still the best one. For the simple reason that not one of them knew
if anybody was watching. It was just them and Big Brother.
Now its them, Big Brother, the public, their agent, the Heat magazine deals and God knows what else!
'Normal' people dont stand a chance! Tom may have Loved himself but he was normal.
AND HE RAN FROM THE HOUSE SCREAMING! DONT BLAME HIM ONE BIT!

Well said.

The whole genre is getting really tired. Total lack of imagination when selecting housemates and content. Out of all the people that audition is this really the best they can come up with?? They don't even have to feed chickens or grow their own veg anymore. No secret missions other than Rodrigo's bark like a dog challenge. Very dull.

I would like to see a series where the housemates enter the house to find their parents already in there waiting for them!

How about handcuffing HM's together for 13 weeks by the ankle? Now THAT would be fun to watch. As each week goes by, the evictees handcuffed partner gets handcuffed to another pair by the wrist.

Or, send them into a house that is completely empty with just a stack of wood, hammers and nails. They have to make their own beds and furniture from scratch.

Incidentally, if you go for an interview with Endemol you have to come up with two BB challenges on your application form!

The show went down hill in my eyes when, after Gay Brian and the Portugeezer won, Endemol started to lean towards that market and fill the house with gays and bisexuals.
Now there have been some good gay characters in the house....Brian was and so is Charlie from this series. But many have been prancing mincers that just dont attract viewers like ordinary folk to the show.

Endemol have also been preoccupied with getting a 1st time shag on TV and have geared things towards that. Its pandering to voyeurism.

Then there is the attempt to tit-a-late the audience by putting in see through showers and people who say they are daring and will go nude but then end up keeping all their clothes on in the showers. Sophie is in there as a full frontal nude model to generate viewers but like Saskia before she has become shy once in there. Her place could of gone to someone will more of a personality and made the show interesting.

For BB to survive and raise its audience figures it needs to go back to selecting ordinary people and just seeing how the BB experience changes them over the weeks. That is what the whole show was about. How ordinary folk cope in an extraordinary stressful environment.

They need to put in normal people.. I want to audition but even walking into the audition process I will automatically have a disadvantage cos I'm no way related to BB

Exactly. People need to be made aware of this before they fork out money and travel expenses and effort to go to auditions.
