I really can't see one thread working, to be honest. I'm all for giivng it a try but I think it'll just turn out even worse.

A discussion won't go anywhere because as Stu has said, it'll be moving faster than the current chat threads do now, and as people will wish to talk about different things, you won't be able to keep up with replies and they'll be discussions and debates flying about the place.

No, I think others feel the same way as me (obviously I can't be certain of this) but it just wouldn't make me feel as relaxed and comfortable as when we can all have a laugh in the BH.

No :/
it'll be really overcroweded and you'll be searching back through pages to find a reply to someone who you were talking to in there.
There'd be too much going on at one time.

Yeah, what Remy said.

Also, I agree with Stu and Jack. Most of the time it's pretty hard to keep up with the pace of the BH, and the Den is growing pretty damn quickly as well.

How about we have all the chat threads we like but we rebrand them?

Really it's just this knighthood **** and the hierarchy elements that irks me, I couldn't give a monkeys about the rest.

But most people see this as a joke, in fact, everyone who is "in" the BH knows this is an on-going joke we have, it's only the people who don't know about it who get irked as you say. If it is kept inside the Brotherhood thread itself, surely that is ok?

If it's kept in the thread then I for one don't have a problem with it. But it's not with some members, and that's where the problem for me lies.

Then surely an agreement could be made within the BH that what happens inside the BH stays in there? I think that is feasable.

Yeah, just keep it in there.

And seeing as it's a chat thread, theres no need for such a group element. You don't get someone who chats in the den deifining themselves as 'Hi my name is ___ and I'm a denner'.

I agree with Brad. I'd love to talk and get to know the members of the Brotherhood, but as I share nothing in common with them, I feel I can't go in there because I have nothing to talk about and would feel a little out of place.

I think getting rid of the memberlist and keeping the Brotherhood terms to its own thread is the best way forward.

That way, both The Den and The Brotherhood are open chat threads and any member can come in and chat at any time they want. That seem fair?

But the BH is already opened to people, where the hell did people got the idea it wasn't ? What a joke lmao
You even said it yourself Jack, you don't want to post here because you have nothing to say to us but no one from the BH did prevent from posting here.

I understand that it's already open to people. But as lili has said earlier in the day, other people may not have seen your posts and may not understand that. By getting rid of the memberlist it automatically seems open.

If people make it that open, loads of people will just starting irritating the members of the BH and that won't work.
Then we'd just have to hope that people won't be as immature as that and won't deliberately go out of their way to cause trouble. If they do, then you just report their posts.

What I want to know is why is the Den considered a problem? I chat in the Den alot but I'm not a member of the Den, If I'm not into the conversation there I move somewhere else!

The Den is about as much of a problem as the Brotherhood, virtually none.

I don't think the Den is a problem, but The Brotherhood is being slated for being a clique and arguments always happening in/around it- and The Den is also responsible for the latter. It was only last night or the night before there was a big argument with Courtney in there. And I think it's being looked upon as a clique because it's pretty much the same people that post in there 24/7, but I don't think it's clique.

But yeah, if we delete the list from the front page and keep all the 'knight' talk in one thread then we're all ok, yeah?

Well, I can only speak for myself David, I represent myself not the Den and people are going to be in cliques no matter which Threads are opened or closed so in that respect I agree with you, closing the BH is pretty pointless.

I said no because a) I don't personally think it would work, we'd get each other's nerves and the BH would end up flocking to the Sports section and the Zeta to the music section whilst the neutral newbies stay and b) that's precisely the purpose of The Den and look what's happened there. I like this idea on paper but I don't think it will make much difference. TBH I'm past caring about this whole BH/Zeta thing, I'd rather just distance myself entirely from it now.

As far as I can see The Den has only turned into a BH rival because of the post count.

I was really referring to the fact that the people who post in their have gotten clique, through no fault of their own and that's just what's gonna happen again. Forum cliques are inevitable because there are always going to be members you like and other you hate.
