Whilst its good that noone is harmed, I think most people are disappointed they didn't see anything at all whether or not they admit it. Its kind of like when you slow down on a motorway when theres a crash on the other side, and can't wait to tell someone about it. You don't consider for a second about the people involved in the crash ...

Anyway I don't think its getting any stricter, I just think there have been more moronic events lately than usual

People will learn in time.

I personally would kick any of the mods/admins ass right now and not care but I'm a changed person. -sob-

I thought this site was strict but then went to another forum for a day 'Walford Web' jesus I felt like I was in the army.
You have to have EVERY SINGLE post approved by a mod.
Your not allowed SIGs until you post 15 times.

Its crazy and strict compared to here.

Oh I'm not saying this forum is strict compared to many others, I'm just saying that I think it's stricter than it used to be on here.

Yeah, that's how I feel, and it shouldn't be like that on a forum.

Even posting this thread is the same. I'll probably get an infraction or something.

This forums one of the most lenient I know of and is very fair (IMO). Some things go too far and for whatever reason I think people are actively trying to push the boundries this past week. It's been like a battle of 'who can get banned first'

I'm trying to think of comparisons, the only one I can think of from the past was Harry's first graphics shop. Plenty of 'bullying' like behaviour went on in that thread, and no posts were deleted, even though numerous posts from mods were made, and it took 28 pages before the thread was eventually closed.

That's unheard of now.

Yes I agree with that post (Maybe as it has my name, You never know). There was a few 'bullies' in that thread and locking of it was partly my option. Other graphics shops were locked for other reasons. But yet again I was at fault also by being a 'diva' as it were. They failed looking back now. Never again.

Strict? This forum isn't strict. Some of these 'jokes' have a very negative effect for this forum. It is not always seen because people stay quiet about it but it puts them off the forum.

I find TiBB to be fairly lenient actually, and as it is a family forum and anybody can view it, it must be kept well moderated. But tbf, the crazyness tonight, although somethings were funny, it was hell not appropriate and things need to be deleted/shut therefore.

Blue waffle lmao, and just crude poems etc. Yeah soemthings can be funny but some people will take offence by it, and if not take offence by it, dont want to see that type of stuff. I think things just get taken too far at times, Frizl jokes for example but maybe Im too goody 2 shoes.

I can understand Steph's ban, as much as it was funny. Just other things confuse me.

But James, that Tsunami thread wasn't a joke. It was a real discussion. No matter whether people disagree or not.

During Big Brother, we have lots and lots of members posting threads about housemates sex tapes etc, and they aren't deleted. That's sort of the comparison I'm trying to make. Big Brother is an adult show, with adult content, and so adult discussion is going to take place on a forum about it.

It's difficult to moderate during BB because of the increased activity, things slip through the net and stay around longer because there's more things to attend to, but if they get posted in off season, obviously they are deleted/locked far quicker.

Yes of course, but as I said, Big Brother is an adult show, with adult content, so the forum is going to be the same, is it not?

One other thing, why do old threads that are bumped get closed? I've really never understood the logic behind that. It's still a thread.

Adult content? Some of the things on here tonight are the opposite.

Yeah, you could argue that posting it is childish, just like how you could argue that discussion of sex in the house is childish, but the content is still for adults.
