If she can't sing then what is she doing here?..

It's not really an Opinion that you think she can't sing when she is obviously singing.. what else do you think she is doing?

well if that's the case then everyone can sing and I will rephrase what I said, she can't sing very well.

Everyone can sing.. some better then others.. it's still singing though.. Katie can obviously do it better then most of them judging from this video

She sang ok that time, she is usually rubbish, hardly something to be jumping for joy about.

When she does her first album (no longer a case of if) she will do what she is best at...slow and soulful. I love her voice and though we have jokes about the Great One being grating that certainly doesn't apply to her voice. It is very easy and smooth. Grating is Treyc trying to belt it out.

the only reason katie is there is because bastard cowell keeps saving her.

and shes got an average voice even in the sing off she was average.

The one thing she certainly isn't is a 'dark horse' lol......she would push to the front of a queue of one.
When I saw the headline William To MARRY 'Kate' last night, I thought no....it can't be......even the Daily Star wouldn't try that one.....

Actually, I wonder who is more gutted about Kate Middleton's arrival on the front pages......KATIE, CHER,CHERYL, OR SIMON?? LOL

That might happen because as for now, people are hating on her but she'll get more popular due to the "sympathy" thing after the hate. That happens a lot in reality-TV. Watch out for her.

If ,as widely reported, she got one third of the Treyc vote two weeks ago and therefore possibly as little as a quarter of the Aiden vote; then her star is rising. Either she quadrupled her vote or (very unlikely) Aiden's collapsed.

The Great One has momentum, if this forum is anything to go by she is gaining sympathy still. This is a great epic of a dead woman walking to the gallows four times and a howling mob of blockheads calling for her head. I think some of us are alive to the possibility of a wonderful turn around.

Jay Z is interested in her and Cher now as well

Jay-Z is reportedly hoping to sign up Cher Lloyd and Katie Waissel to his record label after The X Factor finishes.

According to the Daily Star, both girls have impressed the US hip-hop star with their performances and he is considering offering them contracts with his European Takeover Roc Nation label if they fail to win the show.

Tinchy Stryder revealed the interest in the pair, commenting: "Cher is a real target for Jay-Z because she's proved she can sing really well, rap - and she's got great stage presence. After Cher there's an interest in Katie too. She's quirky and no-one can argue that she doesn't bring in the headlines.

His last album has sold almost 2 million in the US, and has gone platinum here and in Canada aswell... so crap or not he's still selling much better than most other rap artists.

Rihanna, Mark Ronson, Wale, Ting Tings, Daniel Merriweather.. all managed by his label and all famous around the world. Same thing will happen if he does manage Cher and Katie, even if you think they can't sing or whatever with the promotion they'd be getting and with the artists they'd be performing with, it'd be almost impossible for them not to sell well.

Katie can sing, just because you dont like somebody doesnt mean you cant admit they can sing...

I hated Aiden's voice but knew he could sing, well, sometime [Mad World].

It's just a case of some people believing that their subjective judgement is the correct one, when in actual fact whether someone can sing or not has to be looked at objectively.

That's not the case here though, I don't dislike Katie I just don't think she sings well.

she can't sing and to be a good singer you need to remember your lyrics which doesn't seem to be able to manage

Wont matter when she is in the recording studio, she can have as many goes as she likes. I will be first in the queue for her first of many platinum efforts.
