I hate that none of Dannii's acts have gotten a second chance, I kinda feel like the other judges have it out for her category

On DS, a member was at the show last night and is claiming that Louis was told by producers that he couldn't take it to deadlock. Obviously its only one persons word but it did seem strange that Louis didnt back Paije since he's stuck up for him throughout the show.

![]() ![]() I really thought he was going to take it to deadlock too. That is just maddening if it's true, Paije was fantastic in the song off, I know Cher was too which is why I thought deadlock would have been the fair way to go. btw if an audience member knew that does that mean that Paije also did??? ![]()

Louis did look really upset to be voting paije off, and if he really liked them both, the sensible thing to do would be to take it to deadlock :S |

This is the main point I guess.
I just cant see the producers slipping up like that after all efforts have been made to hide the bias...such as allowing deadlock ONLY when the public vote goes there way so it doesnt look so fixed :/ |

The judges havn't been able to criticise Matt for a bad performance but he's been getting negative press recently, makes you wonder if thats all leaked on purpose so he loses public support. Dirty tactics to eliminate the competition

yeah true, I find it a little unbelievable that they would let it be heard by an audience member and possibly the contestants

Firstly, I genuinely believe the favouritism isn't towards Cheryl, it's towards the acts - after all, she has arguably got the strongest, most diverse category. The running-order will often, I imagine, be decided on who the public will most be looking forward to - so for example if One Direction, Cher, Katie, Matt and Rebecca opened the show - chances are they're not going to continue watching for John, FYD etc [let's imagine this is the earlier weeks]. So I'd imagine the running-order is more often than not constructed so that the most 'interesting' acts [i.e the ones that are being talked about the most in the press etc] are last. And as Cher and Katie especially have been talked about a lot - that's why they've usually received fairly late spots, and of course Rebecca is one of the favourites this year. This doesn't always apply, like on Saturday for example - Paije, Mary and Wagner were close to closing the show, and most of the favourites were on early - Matt, Cher, One Direction.
You could argue that Dannii was given the best category this year anyway, considering she has the winner [Matt]. That's not Cheryl favouritism. Secondly, in regards to the Bottom Two 'conspiracy' - it's just a coincidence. The Judges are entitled to vote any way they see fit, that's the way the show works. Just because they save one of Cheryl's acts - it does not mean they're showing favouritism towards her. Again, it may well just be a case of she has the most interesting, most talked about acts. And of course, even if this was the case, and they were voting for Cheryl instead of her acts - like I said, they are entitled to vote any way they see fit [that is, after all, what they are employed to do] - and so there's no problem. Oh, and lastly - there is absolutely no way Louis would've been told not to take it to Deadlock, and especially not in front of people who could've over heard it. |

![]() And of course the judges can vote how they want to vote...what takes the mick though is one week they say 'I will judge it solely on the singoff as always' then the next week 'X was a better singer, but I am saving Y' and such ![]() |

Simon is too far up Cheryls Bum that if it was one direction and cheryls act, he would probly put heres through again.
Nearly every year the judges have a favourite and only focus on that favourite, its unfair.

I meant a conspiracy regarding how these statistics equate to 'Cheryl favouritism'.
That's often because the former applies to when there's two acts who aren't very commercially viable, and are just dispensable acts in the competition - and the latter applies to an act who is commercially viable against an act that's not. Even so, the Judges are also entitled to chop and change their reasons for voting any time they see fit. Again, that is what they're employed to do. |

Cheryl by far has the strongest category, to state the obvious Katie Waissel has been in the bottom 2 5 out of 7 times which suggests favouring towards her rather than Cheryl. John completely crumbled when up against Treyc which resulted in her staying. Dannii's acts haven't been given a second chance because they've all been outperformed in the sing off. During series 5 she had an act in the bottom 2 EVERY week apart from week 1 and none of them went until week 6 onwards. The performance order often reflects the popularity of the contestants and its usually dependent on how many acts are in each category. They also want a strong performance to end the show on, hence Wagner and Mary haven't closed it. Last years closing was dominated by Dannii & Simon's categories.

They do Vicky, there is a very unsavoury taste as to X Factor this year and people I know who are only casual watchers even, near all think it stinks badly this series.
